The Lubbock Heart Hospital Cath Lab is another element that makes the hospital a state-of-the-art facility. In the Cath Lab, hemodynamic monitoring is accomplished with the Mac Lab 7000 which provides patient related physiologic information, while Inturis, fluoroscopy equipment built by Phillips, provides premier image acquisition. Picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is then performed by Optimed. Electrophysiology studies are accomplished with the Cardio Lab computer-based monitoring system and the Bloom Electrophysiology Stimulator. Intravascular ultrasound gives the cardiologist another dimension in diagnosis and treatment modalities for vascular diseases.
