Clinical Laboratory Services
The full-service Clinical Laboratory at Lubbock Heart Hospital is a CLIA certified facility that continually assesses the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of testing for effectiveness while in compliance with regulatory standards. In addition, LHH maintains an internal blood bank to support our surgical patients.
With four levels of technical staffing, including phlebotomy, the hospital lab consists of medical technologists, medical laboratory technologists and laboratory technicians. The Clinical Laboratory of Lubbock Heart Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Pharmacy Services
At Lubbock Heart Hospital, the pharmacy’s mission is to provide optimal pharmaceutical care for all patients. This is accomplished by monitoring the effects of medications, monitoring appropriate and safe drug therapy, meeting the needs of specific patient types and age groups, providing drug information, providing patient and family education, participating in drug studies and staff education, and preparing medications and sterile products.
As part of our pharmacy services, LHH maintains a staff of full-time registered pharmacists and technicians. The pharmacy staff utilizes the latest automation technology to deliver medication to patients quickly and safely.
