Surgical Services
The Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital surgical suite is comprised of three operating rooms, one endoscopy room and an eight-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit. LHSH’s surgical team is comprised of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, surgical technologists, cardio-pulmonary technologists, perfusionists and ancillary staff. The 30 team members in the surgical unit are trained and certified in the areas of nursing, surgical technology, anesthesiology and cardiovascular perfusion and have extensive experience in the field of surgery. Staying current with advanced techniques, LHSH specializes in the following vascular procedures:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Off-Pump CABG
- Peripheral Vascular Procedures
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Thoracic Procedures (Thoracotomy, Thoracoscopy, Mediastinoscopy)
- Valve Repair and/or Replacement (Mitral Valve & Aortic Valve Replacement)
Non-Cardiac Surgical Services:
- Endoscopy Procedures
- General Surgery
