The staff is extensively trained and qualified in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. The LHSH staff is a combination of highly-trained nursing staff, consisting of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, monitor technicians, unit secretaries and nursing assistants. LHSH strives to achieve a 1-to-4 nurse-to-patient ratio as a standard of excellence set by the American Nursing Association.

Coronary Critical Care Unit

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital’s Coronary Critical Care Unit is a state-of-the-art 16-bed unit, specializing in advanced cardiac care. Highly-qualified staff is available to care for you and your family. All of our staff is specialized in cardiovascular care and are highly professional. Each CCCU room is private, quiet and provides our patients with a view to our facility’s courtyard. Much like the acute care units, CCCU has set its goals for patient care. Its standard of excellence is set at a 1-to-1, or a 1-to-2 nurse-to-patient ratio, depending on the needs of the patient. The care of the patient is individualized according to the need of the patient.

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital’s goal is to provide the best patient care possible and to strive for quality care and constant improvement. LHSH expects all of its patients to have a “very good” experience while in the hospital.
